暑中見舞い

日本には、夏に「暑中見舞い」という手紙を送る文化があります🎐
In Japan, there is a culture of sending letters called “shochu-mimai” in summer.
暑中見舞いは、暑い夏に大切な人へ送る手紙です。
Shochu-mimai is a letter sent to important people during the hot summer.
「暑いですが、元気ですか？」という気持ちを伝えます。
It expresses the feeling of “It is hot, but are you doing well?”

「暑中見舞い」 is read 「しょちゅうみまい」. The final 「い」 belongs to 「見舞い」 and comes after the kanji reading 「みま」.
