Today is Tanabata.

Tanabata is a traditional Japanese festival based on the legend that Orihime and Hikoboshi can meet across the Milky Way once a year.

On Tanabata, people write their wishes on colorful strips of paper and hang them on bamboo branches.

I wrote, “I hope everyone can stay happy and smiling.”

What wish would you write?

「〜ますように」 is commonly used to express a wish. 「みんなが笑顔えがおでいられますように」 conveys the hope that everyone can keep smiling.
